Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned remote Purchasing Manager to lead procurement, optimize supplier relationships, and drive cost savings from anywhere. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, oversee a remote team, negotiate contracts, and monitor budgets to deliver significant savings.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field, 7+ years in purchasing with 3+ in management, and strong analytical and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in purchasing or procurement with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven success in strategic sourcing and cost reductions.
• Strong contract negotiation, SRM, and risk assessment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing and purchasing plans to meet business needs and cost targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a remote purchasing team with high performance.
• Oversee procurement: supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor the departmental budget and ensure efficient resource use.
