Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Systems Engineer to join a globally distributed team. You will design, integrate, and optimize mechanical and electromechanical systems across continents, including Upington.

The role is fully remote with flexible hours, mentorship of junior engineers, and close collaboration with software, hardware, and project management teams to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Experience in design, integration, and testing of complex systems.
• Strong aptitude with system modeling and simulation tools.
• Excellent understanding of project management and agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of complex mechanical/electromechanical systems.
• Conduct system analysis including performance, reliability, and failure modes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of complex mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Conduct in-depth system analysis, including performance, reliability, and failure mode analysis.

Requirements
