Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Real Estate Analyst to join a remote-first team in South Africa. You will conduct market research, build complex financial models, and perform due diligence on real estate investments across multiple asset classes.

The role requires a Master’s in a quantitative field and at least 6 years of experience in real estate finance, investment analysis, or related areas. Strong communication and autonomous work capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related quantitative field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in real estate investment analysis or related finance roles.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for real estate assets.
Deep knowledge of capital markets and real estate finance strategies.
Excellent analytical, communication, and independent work capabilities.
Proficient in Excel (advanced) with VBA, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, and CoStar.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed financial analysis including cash flow modelling and DCF valuations.
Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and competitive analysis for investments.
Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to committees.
Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for valuation and decision making.
Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular analytical reporting.
Collaborate with remote colleagues and stakeholders on complex transactions.
Stay updated on macro trends and regulatory changes affecting investments.
Mentor junior analysts and ensure data integrity across reports.
