Job summary

Peach Payments is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to join our Engineering team. This remote-friendly role supports a payout-focused portfolio with a hybrid office presence in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Mauritius or Kenya.

You will own end-to-end features across the full stack, mentor peers, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining security and quality. You should bring 7+ years in cloud-based software engineering, strong TypeScript and Python skills, AWS

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud-based software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Python.
• AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, Serverless).
• Database experience (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Comfortable using AI coding tools to boost productivity without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship new Payouts features across the full stack.
• Translate technical requirements into robust solutions with the team.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant payout processing in backend/integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues using logs and monitoring.
• Own complex initiatives from design through delivery with minimal oversight.
• Mentor less senior engineers via pairing and code reviews.
• Leverage AI development tools while maintaining code quality and ownership.
