Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote team supporting Richards Bay operations. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and ensure reliability, scalability, and security across applications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps with strong automation, Python/Bash/PowerShell scripting, and hands-on AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes experience. You will drive improvement in deployment processes and IaC practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or similar experience with a strong automation focus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong communication skills for a remote-first role supporting clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for software deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
