Placements24 seeks a Remote Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced financial analytics initiatives, leveraging ML, statistical modelling and big data technologies to uncover patterns and drive strategic decisions within finance. This role is fully remote with responsibilities spanning conception to deployment.

You will guide data science projects end-to-end, mentor junior scientists, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy production-ready models.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in data science with a focus on financial analytics and machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python or R and experience with ML libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with big data tech (Spark, Hadoop) and SQL database querying.
• Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for a remote role.
