Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Senior Data Scientist to join our R&D team, focusing on AI/ML to design and deploy models that drive data-driven decision making. This remote role allows work from anywhere in South Africa.

You will develop models across NLP, deep learning and computer vision, analyze large datasets, run experiments, and collaborate with engineers and product managers to put models into production, while staying up to date with the latest research.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field and 5+ years in data science.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with large datasets, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
