Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable cloud-based solutions for the energy sector. You will work remotely with a globally distributed team, translating client requirements into robust architectural blueprints across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT infrastructure and a strong background in cloud architecture, security, IAM, and networking, with IaC and container tech experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in IT infrastructure and solutions architecture, 4+ years cloud focus.
• Proven experience designing, deploying complex cloud solutions in production.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, data storage.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-grade cloud solutions tailored for the energy sector, focusing on reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and define cloud migration strategies.
• Develop detailed architectural designs, including network topology, compute resources, storage solutions, and security configurations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies that best fit client needs.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and conduct technical feasibility studies.
• Create comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and operational runbooks.
• Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Ensure solutions comply with security standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the energy industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and solutions architecture, with at least 4 years focused specifically on cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven experience designing and deploying complex, scalable cloud solutions in production environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking, security principles, identity and access management, and data storage solutions.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Experience within the energy sector (oil & gas, utilities, renewables) is highly desirable.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a significant advantage.
