Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant to join its finance team in a fully remote capacity. You will oversee general ledger, IFRS reporting, bank reconciliations, and tax filings, while partnering with a remote team to drive accuracy and timely financial insights.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, with CA(SA) or CIMA preferred, and at least six years of progressive accounting experience. Strong Excel and cloud-based accounting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification highly preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel; cloud-based solutions a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and classification of transactions.
• Prepare detailed financial statements in IFRS, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts and intercompany balances.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions remotely.
• Assist with tax return preparation and compliance.
• Collaborate with remote team members and external stakeholders.
