Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Senior 3D Animator to join a globally distributed creative team. You will create high-quality 3D animations for characters, environments, and visuals, and collaborate with art directors and fellow animators to achieve artistic goals.

You will rig characters and objects, incorporate feedback, and troubleshoot remote pipelines to ensure production-ready results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a 3D Animator.
• Strong reel showcasing advanced animation skills.
• Proficiency in Maya, Blender, 3ds Max or similar.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate remotely.
• Experience with rigging and facial animation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling 3D animations for characters, creatures, vehicles and environments.
• Collaborate with art directors, TDs, and other animators to achieve artistic goals.
• Rig characters and objects for animation.
• Iterate on animations based on reviews to meet quality standards.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Remote Senior 3D Animator to join their globally distributed creative team. You will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D animations for a variety of projects, including character animation, visual effects, and product visualizations. This role requires a deep understanding of animation principles, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual environment. You will play a key role in bringing digital characters and environments to life, contributing to visually stunning and engaging content that meets project specifications and artistic vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Create compelling and technically proficient 3D animations for characters, creatures, vehicles, and environments.
• Collaborate with art directors, technical directors, and other animators to achieve desired artistic and narrative goals.
• Rig characters and objects for animation, ensuring they are functional and efficient for production.
• Incorporate feedback from reviews and iterates on animations to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to animation, rigging, and rendering pipelines in a remote setting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a 3D Animator, with a strong reel showcasing advanced animation skills.
• Expert proficiency in 3D animation software such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or similar.
• Solid understanding of animation principles, anatomy, weight, timing, and storytelling.
• Experience with character rigging, facial animation, and performance capture cleanup is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a remote team environment.
