About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and insightful Remote Real Estate Market Research Analyst to join their globally distributed team. This fully remote role is integral to understanding and forecasting real estate market trends across diverse geographical areas. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing market data, including property listings, sales data, economic indicators, and demographic information. Your research will provide critical intelligence to support investment decisions, development strategies, and business planning for our client. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a passion for uncovering market insights, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly. Working remotely, you will have the flexibility to contribute your expertise from anywhere, focusing on delivering actionable intelligence that informs our client's strategic direction, particularly in assessing markets beyond Kimberley .

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market research on various real estate sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).
• Gather and analyze data from multiple sources, including databases, public records, industry reports, and proprietary tools.
• Identify key market drivers, trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Prepare comprehensive market reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
• Develop forecasts for property values, rental rates, absorption, and supply/demand dynamics.
• Monitor and report on competitor activities and market shifts.
• Collaborate with investment, development, and leasing teams to provide market intelligence.
• Maintain and update market databases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute to the development of new research methodologies and analytical frameworks.
• Present research findings to internal teams and potentially external clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Geography, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in market research, analysis, or a related role, preferably within the real estate industry.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, statistical packages, GIS software is a plus).
• Experience with real estate data sources and platforms (e.g., Property24, Lightstone, Stats SA).
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Strong understanding of real estate market fundamentals and economic principles.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
