Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement in a fully remote capacity. You will develop and implement purchasing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization.

You will oversee a remote team, monitor performance, and collaborate with departments to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in purchasing, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and a bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in purchasing or procurement.
• 2+ years in a management role.
• Remote leadership experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with procurement software/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a remote team of purchasing professionals.
• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
• Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
