Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure projects across South Africa. You will plan, implement, and maintain IT systems and networks, coordinating with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful deployment aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT infrastructure PM experience, a bachelor's degree in IT or CS, and PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years in IT infrastructure project management.
• Experience managing remote/ geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong knowledge of networks, cloud (AWS/Azure), cybersecurity, and servers.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects (servers, networks, cloud, cybersecurity).
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, objectives, timelines, resources and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors and stakeholders across locations.
• Identify and manage risks and issues to minimize operational disruption.
• Oversee deployment to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, including servers, networks, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Requirements
