About the Role

Our client is looking for a sharp and analytical Remote Production Data Analyst to join their manufacturing operations, with a focus on their Bloemfontein -based facilities. This fully remote position is vital for optimizing production efficiency by collecting, interpreting, and reporting on vast amounts of manufacturing data. You will be instrumental in identifying trends, uncovering inefficiencies, and providing actionable insights to production management to drive improvements. This role requires a strong quantitative aptitude, excellent data visualization skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. You will operate autonomously, leveraging advanced analytics tools to enhance operational performance and support strategic decision-making within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize production data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Analyze production metrics, identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in efficiency and output.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for management.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Collaborate with production teams and management to understand data needs and deliver relevant insights.
• Stay abreast of new analytical techniques and tools to enhance data analysis capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst , preferably within the manufacturing or production sector.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or R for data analysis, and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and communicate technical findings effectively in a remote setting.
