Placements24 is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to lead security architecture for a fully remote, global product suite. You will shape security strategy, design scalable, secure systems, and mentor engineers across multiple teams to enforce DevSecOps practices.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years in security engineering, deep cloud and application security expertise, and strong programming skills in Python/Go/Java/C++. You will influence technical direction in a remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience designing security solutions at scale in SaaS/cloud-native environments.
• Strong programming/scripting in Python/Go/Java/C++.
• Experience with remote, distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of security solutions across apps, infra and cloud.
• Architect scalable secure systems and promote best practices.
• Drive secure coding and DevSecOps across the org.
• Mentor engineers and influence security direction.
• Conduct security reviews, threat modeling and pentesting for critical systems.
• Develop security automation for vulnerability management and incident response.
• Stay abreast of threats and adapt defenses accordingly.
• Collaborate to set standards for security engineering.
• Respond to incidents with mitigation strategies.
• Lead security initiatives from strategic and hands-on perspective.
