Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Network Security Analyst to monitor and protect our clients' networks from home. You will analyze security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and help refine security policies in a collaborative virtual environment.

Role requires a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity/CS/IT and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Relevant certifications are highly desirable, with full remote work and flexible hours offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
• Respond to security incidents with timely resolution and post-incident analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM tools, for suspicious activities.

• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Respond to security incidents, providing timely and effective resolution and post-incident analysis.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to enhance defenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security analysis or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security architectures, and common attack vectors.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
