Placements24 is seeking a talented and self-motivated Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This role focuses on end-to-end design and development of mechanical components and systems from concept to detailed engineering drawings, all performed remotely.

You will leverage CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor or CATIA and collaborate virtually with a global team to innovate and bring new products to life.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional mechanical design experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with remote cross-functional teams, including product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing partners.
• Participate in virtual design reviews and provide constructive feedback on design concepts and prototypes.
• Manage design documentation and version control within a remote collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with industry-leading CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and associated simulation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience using collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Teams, Zoom).
• Proven track record of successful product design and development lifecycles.
