Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Research Scientist in Materials Science & Engineering to join a pioneering team in a fully remote capacity. You will explore, design, and test novel materials for next-generation applications, contributing to cutting-edge projects and collaborating with world-class researchers.

Responsibilities include synthesizing and evaluating advanced materials, utilizing SEM/TEM, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing, and developing experimental plans.

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of post-doctoral or industrial research experience in materials.
• Proven expertise in synthesis, processing, characterization and testing of materials.
• Strong data analysis, modeling, and simulation software skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Research synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation of advanced materials.
• Use microscopy (SEM, TEM), spectroscopy, and mechanical testing for material analysis.
• Design and implement experiments to study material properties under varied conditions.
• Analyze data and generate detailed reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance projects.
• Stay updated with literature and advances in materials science.
