Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Insurance Data Scientist to join their expanding analytics team. You will apply advanced statistical and ML methods to pricing, underwriting, claims, and customer experience, working autonomously in a fully remote environment.

You will collaborate with actuaries, underwriters, and stakeholders, build predictive models, analyze large datasets, run experiments, and translate complex results into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Scientist, with specific experience in the insurance industry.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Proficiency with big data technologies and database querying (SQL, Spark).
• Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
