Placements24 is seeking a highly capable Remote Industrial Systems Engineer to join a distributed technical team and lead design, implementation and optimization of complex industrial systems from a distance.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, remote guidance, and cross-functional collaboration to improve performance, reliability and scalability across multiple locations. Experience with MES, automation, and data analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial systems and automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of SCADA, PLC programming, HMI development, and network communication protocols.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and their application in system design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues remotely.
• Proficiency in project management tools and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting.

• Design and configure industrial control systems, automation solutions, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Develop and implement strategies for system integration, data acquisition, and performance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to industrial systems and provide remote support.
• Create detailed system documentation, including P&IDs, functional specifications, and operational manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and project management, in a virtual environment.
