Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Grant Writer and Development Officer to secure funding for a nonprofit focused on education and community development. The role involves researching opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and managing reporting for grants, all from a fully remote setup.

You will build relationships with funders, coordinate with program teams, and contribute to the organization’s development strategy, supporting initiatives in Stellenbosch and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Grant Writer with a track record of funding.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills for persuasiveness.
• Strong understanding of grant funding and non-profit operations.
• Proficiency in grant management software and standard office apps.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills for deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government, and corporations.
• Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals meeting funder requirements.
• Manage the grant application process from research to submission and follow-up.
• Develop and maintain relationships with foundation program officers and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit timely grant reports showing project impact.
• Collaborate with program teams to gather information for proposals and reports.
