Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Remote Sanitation & Hygiene Program Manager to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of global sanitation strategies. This remote role focuses on international operations with emphasis on the Port Elizabeth presence, leveraging technology and strong communication to connect with stakeholders worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Public Health or related field, 7+ years in sanitation/hygiene program management, and at least 3

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health or related field required.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in sanitation/hygiene/public health programs, with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven track record developing and implementing large-scale, multi-site, or global sanitation programs.
• Experience with hygiene protocols, infectious disease control, and risk assessment.
• Exceptional project management, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities; proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a global sanitation and hygiene program aligned with corporate objectives and health guidelines.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for sanitation initiatives and ensure measurable improvements.
• Conduct virtual risk assessments and audits of facilities worldwide; identify hazards and recommend mitigations.
• Develop and disseminate best-practice guidelines, SOPs, and training materials for sanitation and hygiene.
• Collaborate with regional facility management, HR, and legal to ensure program effectiveness and compliance.
• Manage relationships with external sanitation providers and suppliers; negotiate contracts and ensure service quality.
• Stay updated on global health trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in sanitation and hygiene.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership on program status, compliance, and financial performance.
• Act as SME on all sanitation and hygiene matters for the organization.
