Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join a fully remote engineering team. You will build responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript frameworks, collaborating with UI/UX designers and backend developers to deliver engaging web experiences.

You will translate wireframes into high-quality code, optimize performance, stay current with front-end trends, and contribute to code reviews in a remote, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Frontend Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with at least one major frontend framework (React/Angular/Vue).
• Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Babel) and Git.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, pixel-perfect code.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
• Write clean, maintainable frontend code, participating actively in code reviews.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, proposing improvements to our development processes.
