Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Family Support Counsellor to support families in the Klerksdorp area from a remote, home-based setting in the North West province.

You will conduct individual, couples, and family sessions virtually, assess family dynamics, provide evidence-based interventions, and connect clients with community resources, while maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Registered with HPCSA or SACSSP.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in family counseling or therapy.
• Proficient with virtual platforms for remote sessions.
• Strong knowledge of family systems theory and therapeutic modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, and family counseling via virtual platforms.
• Assess family dynamics and identify areas needing support.
• Develop evidence-based strategies to address family challenges.
• Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support during distress.
• Connect families with community resources and services.
• Maintain confidential client records in line with standards.
