Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Head of Sustainability and ESG to lead environmental, social, and governance initiatives with strategic oversight across operations, including the Northern Cape. This remote leadership role focuses on sustainable growth and responsible business practices.

You will develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies, drive impact reporting, engage stakeholders, and champion ESG principles to deliver measurable improvements and lasting value.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and programs.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB), and environmental regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in managing complex projects and driving cross-functional initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's overall sustainability and ESG strategy.
• Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data and metrics.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for improving environmental performance and reducing operational footprint.
• Ensure compliance with relevant sustainability regulations and reporting frameworks.
• Drive a culture of sustainability and corporate social responsibility throughout the organization.
