Placements24 is seeking a Research Scientist specialized in Environmental Chemistry for a fully remote role. You will conduct cutting-edge research, analyze environmental samples, and contribute to sustainable technologies and remediation strategies from your home office.

You will collaborate with a distributed team, employing GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS, and spectrophotometers to advance environmental science and data interpretation for impactful solutions.

Qualifications

PhD in Environmental Chemistry or closely related field.
3+ years of environmental research experience.
Proficiency with GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS or spectrophotometers.

Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory and field research on environmental pollutants and their impact.
Develop and apply analytical methods for detection/quantification of contaminants in air, water, and soil.
Investigate the fate and transport of chemicals in the environment.
Design and evaluate innovative remediation technologies and sustainable practices.
Analyze complex environmental datasets and generate research reports.
Collaborate with a remote team of scientists, engineers, and policymakers.
