A leading digital solutions company is seeking English linguists for remote accent data collection and transcription tasks. Responsibilities include quality checks on audio files, ensuring transcription accuracy, and inserting non-verbal cues. Ideal candidates must be native English speakers with a linguistic background. Compensation is set at approximately 17.88 USD per hour. This is an independent contractor position, with flexible workload based on daily task availability.

Qualifications

• Native speaker of English.
• Pass the English Fluency Test and the Transcription test.
• 18 years old or older.
• Access to a computer (desktop/laptop) and stable Internet connection.
• A linguistic background (education and/or experience) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks and revision on audio files.
• Ensure transcription accuracy and make edits.
• Insert emotions and non-verbal cues in transcriptions.
• Set correct start and end times for speech segments.
• Verify task completion and report issues.
