Placements24 is seeking a Remote Educational Play Therapist to deliver specialized support to children and families from anywhere in South Africa. Sessions are conducted online, using play-based methods to enhance emotional and cognitive development, with collaboration from caregivers and other professionals.

The role requires a Master's degree in Play Therapy or related field, active licensure, and at least 3 years' experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Play Therapy, Child Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Registered and licensed Play Therapist or equivalent credential.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in applying play therapy techniques with children.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct effective therapy remotely using digital tools.
• Strong understanding of child development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and ability to build rapport with children and families online.
