Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Registered Dietitian & Nutritional Therapist with a clinical focus to join its remote healthcare team. You will assess clients, develop personalized nutrition plans, and deliver medical nutrition therapy via telehealth to diverse conditions from Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.

The role requires four years of clinical experience, RD/RDN credentials, excellent communication, and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
• RD or RDN credential required.
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in dietetics and nutritional therapy.
• Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy for various chronic diseases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for clients with diverse clinical needs.
• Develop personalized and evidence-based nutrition care plans, considering medical history, lifestyle, and dietary preferences.
• Provide expert medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and obesity.
• Educate clients on dietary recommendations, food preparation, and healthy eating habits.
• Monitor client progress, adjust nutrition plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and motivation.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, and other members of the care team.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Stay current with the latest scientific research and advancements in nutrition and dietetics.
• Participate in continuing professional development activities.
• Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources for clients and healthcare professionals.
