Qualifications

About the Role

You will be responsible for producing high-quality design documentation, collaborating with project managers and clients virtually, and ensuring that designs meet all technical and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design calculations for various civil engineering elements, including site grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Prepare comprehensive design drawings, plans, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new projects, remotely assessing data and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines through virtual platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant local, provincial, and national engineering standards and regulations.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) registration with ECSA is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, or similar.
• Strong understanding of stormwater management, site development, and utility design principles.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills adapted for remote work.
