Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Blockchain Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to Durban-based projects. You will help build secure, scalable blockchain solutions and decentralized applications for crypto platforms, working with a distributed, global team.

You will develop, test, and deploy Solidity smart contracts, maintain backend services for dApps, and collaborate to design new blockchain features.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Solidity and experience with frameworks like Hardhat or Truffle.
Understanding of blockchain architecture, including consensus algorithms and cryptographic principles.
Experience with web3 libraries and tools (e.g., Ethers.js, Web3.js).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy robust smart contracts using Solidity and other relevant programming languages.
Build and maintain the backend infrastructure for decentralized applications (dApps).
Participate in the design and implementation of new blockchain protocols and features.
Optimize blockchain solutions for performance, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate blockchain functionalities into user interfaces.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the remote team.
