Placements24 seeks a Remote Aviation Systems Architect to lead the design of complex aviation software and hardware. This fully remote role requires deep aerospace and systems engineering expertise and oversight of distributed teams within South Africa.

You will define architectures, ensure safety and security, and guide cross-functional engineers through development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in aviation systems, strong UML/SysML modeling, and experience with DO-178C/DO-254

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in aerospace or related field.
• 10+ years in systems engineering/architecture in aviation.
• Experience with safety-critical systems and DO-178C/DO-254.
• Strong modeling and architectural decision skills.
• Ability to lead distributed teams remotely.

Requirements
