You will conduct audits, develop policies, investigate incidents, provide SMS guidance, and deliver remote trainings. Requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 6+ years in aviation compliance; remote work from South Africa supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management, law, engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in aviation compliance, safety management, auditing, or regulatory affairs.
• Deep knowledge of ICAO Annexes and SACAA CARs, EASA Part-M, FAA FARs.
• Experience implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive remote audits and assessments of aviation organizations' compliance with relevant aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, EASA, FAA, SACAA).
• Develop, review, and update aviation compliance policies, procedures, and manuals for clients.
• Investigate incidents and occurrences, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide expert guidance and support to clients on aviation safety management systems (SMS) implementation and continuous improvement.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, compliance findings, and recommendations for management review.
• Stay current with evolving aviation regulations, industry best practices, and emerging safety trends globally.
• Deliver remote training sessions and workshops to client personnel on various aviation compliance topics.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on behalf of clients, facilitating communication and ensuring timely resolution of compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance activities, client interactions, and regulatory documentation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Law, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation compliance, safety management, auditing, or regulatory affairs.
• In-depth knowledge of international aviation regulations (ICAO Annexes) and national regulations (e.g., SACAA CARs, EASA Part-M, FAA FARs).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory requirements clearly.
• Proficiency in using standard office software and digital collaboration tools for remote work.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple projects independently from a remote location.
• Must be legally eligible to work from home in South Africa and possess a reliable internet connection.
