Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an API Manufacturing Specialist with a remote-first approach linked to East London operations. You will oversee API production under cGMP, drive process development, and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges to sustain high quality and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in pharmaceutical API manufacturing, strong cGMP knowledge, and proven ability to scale and validate processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of API manufacturing or process development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of cGMP principles and regulatory requirements for API production.
• Experience with process scale-up, optimization, and validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills suitable for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage production processes for APIs in compliance with cGMP.
• Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing APIs.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain production efficiency and quality.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of all manufacturing activities, batch records, and deviations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to support process improvements and technology transfers.
