Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics or related field.
• 7+ years of AI/ML experience with a strong NLP focus.
• Proven track record architecting NLP solutions in production environments.
• Deep understanding of NLP concepts, algorithms (RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, LLMs).
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, and HF Transformers.
• Experience with cloud AI/ML services on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong software architecture skills and ability to communicate complex topics.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Remote AI Solutions Architect specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join their distributed team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will be instrumental in designing and architecting end-to-end AI solutions that leverage cutting-edge NLP techniques to solve complex business problems. This involves understanding client needs, translating them into technical requirements, and architecting robust, scalable, and efficient AI systems. You will work with a talented team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers, playing a key role in shaping the direction of our client's NLP offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of NLP concepts, various NLP models (e.g., transformers, LLMs), and experience in designing and deploying AI solutions in production environments. Key Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable AI solutions incorporating advanced NLP techniques, including text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, machine translation, and generative AI. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for AI solutions. Evaluate and select appropriate NLP models, libraries, and frameworks for specific use cases. Define data requirements and advise on data collection, annotation, and preprocessing strategies for NLP tasks. Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and prototypes to validate AI solution designs. Guide implementation teams on best practices for developing, deploying, and maintaining NLP models in production. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers working on NLP projects. Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP research and industry trends.

Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a significant focus on Natural Language Processing. Proven track record of architecting and delivering successful NLP-based AI solutions in production. Deep expertise in NLP concepts, algorithms (e.g., RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, LLMs), and techniques. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and relevant NLP libraries (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services. Strong understanding of software architecture principles and best practices for scalable systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
