Job summary

Blacksmith Agency, a fully remote WordPress design and development agency, is hiring an AI Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems over AI models, not model training, with direct collaboration to leadership and cross‑functional teams.

You will implement agentic workflows using LangChain and related frameworks, integrate OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, and build automation connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and our CMS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship internal automation roadmap, building production systems on top of AI models.
• Turn documented automation workflows into shipped, working systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to implement agentic pipelines connecting tools and services.
