Job summary

Leap29 is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to support the implementation and ongoing delivery of multi-country payroll solutions across the African continent. You will help manage new payroll projects from discovery to go-live and oversee accurate monthly payroll delivery across several jurisdictions.

The role requires comfort working across different country regulations, systems and client requirements, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' payroll experience across multiple African countries.
• Experience implementing or supporting payroll implementations.
• Strong understanding of African payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Experience with cloud-based payroll and HR technology.
• Fluent English; French is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support payroll implementations across African countries.
• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll cycles for multiple jurisdictions.
• Validate calculations, reconcile inputs and outputs, and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation.
• Explain payroll calculations clearly to clients and teams.
