Job summary

Smollan is seeking a proactive Sales Consultant to be the face of our brand at the point of purchase. You will drive sales, guide customers through their product journey, and ensure a world-class retail experience across kiosks.

The role requires enthusiasm for sales, excellent communication, and the ability to work across multiple kiosks in the Wes-Kaap region, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or NQF equivalent.
• Previous retail sales experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS/retail admin processes.
• Willingness to work retail shift hours, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional night work.
• Available to work at or travel between kiosks/stores in the region.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Upselling: Deliver a superior customer service experience, build customer relationships, and actively sell and up-sell products to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Kiosk Operations & POS: Process cash and card transactions, manage daily cashups, handle banking, and follow POS SOPs.
• Stock & Asset Management: Take ownership of kiosk inventory, manage stock replenishment, IBT transfers, and safeguard assets.
• Brand Representation & Merchandising: Maintain high visual merchandising standards and kiosk housekeeping.
• Customer Support & Troubleshooting: Assist customers with product queries and troubleshooting using brand knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Upselling: Deliver a superior customer service experience, build customer relationships, and actively sell and up-sell products to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
• Kiosk Operations & POS: Process cash and card transactions, manage daily cashups, handle banking, and accurately follow Point of Sale (POS) Standard Operating Procedures.
• Stock & Asset Management: Take ownership of kiosk inventory. Facilitate stock takes, manage stock replenishment, execute Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT), and safeguard all company assets.
• Brand Representation & Merchandising: Maintain high visual merchandising standards and general kiosk housekeeping to reflect our brand’s premium quality and professionalism.
• Customer Support & Troubleshooting: Assist customers with product queries and troubleshooting using in-depth brand and product knowledge.

What We Are Looking For

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate or NQF equivalent.
• Experience: Previous retail sales experience is highly advantageous.
• Tech-Savvy: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS/retail admin processes.
• Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work retail shift hours, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional night work.
• Mobility: Available to work at or travel between designated kiosks/stores in the region if required.
