Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a reliable Cleaning Operative to maintain cleanliness across their Soweto premises. You will perform general cleaning tasks, sanitize restrooms and kitchens, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for occupants.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to follow instructions either independently or as part of a team. Regular training and a consistent schedule are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning/janitorial is advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning supplies.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment.
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties: dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming.
• Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
