Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Keep company vehicle clean and well maintained
  • Assist the Driver in completing daily vehicle checklist before departing the yard
  • Assist the Driver / Transport Controllers with the identification of any vehicle issues / defects
  • Gather all bags from collection points and prepare for collection
  • Load material at collection points and unload the material at MRFs
  • Assist the Driver with the counting of bags and collection of paperwork
  • Ensure all bags are collected from designated collection points, unless permission is granted by the Transport Controllers to not collect everything
  • Distribute plastic bags when required
  • Assist the Driver with completing relevant checklists for cage collections upon collection and delivery and inform the Transport Controllers of any defects
  • Always ensure a safe off-loading environment
  • Ensure the off-loading area is clean and any obstructions removed to prevent damages
  • Guide the Driver into off-loading bays, using the appropriate hand signals
  • Assist the Driver with guidance that is required during the manoeuvring of the vehicle when reversing or avoiding any obstacles in confined spaces
  • Ensure the vehicle is off-loaded / emptied at the end of each shift
  • Responsible for the safe keeping of all equipment issues to the vehicle such as brooms, tools and chemicals
  • Adhere to all reasonable instructions given by the Transport Controllers
  • Adhere to OHS ACT legislation policies

Requirements

  • Grade 11
  • Minimum 1 year working experience

Job Summary

To provide assistance and administrative support within the operations department. Ensure support is provided in such a way that effective planning, organizing and control takes place within the department. Ensure timeous and effective liaison internally and externally with clients, service providers and the operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Operations support: Ensure all external orders are requested to service providers on Secure Office; Manage bookings to service providers; Upload supporting documents onto Secure Office; Maintain filing of documents; Assist with quotations; Check invoices; Obtain quotes; Send proof of delivery for service
  • Administrative responsibilities: File material collections slips; File new site costings; Provide a user-friendly filing system for invoicing; Ensure invoices and reports are uploaded onto MS Teams
  • Data capturing: Load ad-hoc service requests on Secure Office; Follow-up disposal certificates; Scan and send daily paperwork to data department
  • Reporting: Communicate with clients/service providers; General assistance to Administration Manager/Operations Manager/Contract Managers
  • General: Provide general assistance within the operations department

Requirements

  • Minimum Matric or equivalent
  • 1-3 years in a similar role
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport preferred

Job Description

Job Summary

To oversee the collection, capturing, accuracy and reporting of regional waste stream data. Monitor internal reporting on client and MRF rebates. Handle all client communication and reporting with regards to waste stream data and rebate information. Manage and upskill the data department staff through training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

Management of the data department

  • Oversee, coach and mentor the data department staff within your region
  • Perform bi-annual performance appraisals of direct reports
  • Monitor performance of Data Capturers and Data Administrators; ensure SLAs are met
  • Suggest process improvements
  • Submit weekly team performance reports

Data collection

  • Meet capturing deadlines; capture and approve data (commercial waste, vendor slips, collections, MRF slips, safe disposal docs, etc.)
  • Oversee data capture from third-party service providers

Data management

  • Create client entities and reports; analyse data for discrepancies; configure rebate reports
  • Procure and distribute data books; calculate team bonuses

Client communication

  • Send client reports; assist clients with login details; respond to reporting requests; attend client meetings

Requirements

  • Minimum degree/diploma in finance/statistics/business administration or related
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Excellent communication; willingness to travel
