Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-standard nursing care tailored to residents' needs, ensuring health, safety, and well-being.
  • Conduct physical assessments, maintain detailed health records, and provide direct care, including palliative, chronic, and psychiatric care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, make clinical decisions in high-pressure situations, and forward referrals and appointments.
  • Administer medication accurately, maintain medication logs, and manage stock shortages.
  • Champion preventive care: health screenings, wellness programs, and infection control.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and participate in quality assurance processes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent); registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including clinical and management roles.
  • Experience in residential or community-based settings; familiarity with dual-diagnosis and MDT frameworks preferred.
  • Valid BLS required; ACLS an advantage.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and empathy.
  • Excellent organisational, record-keeping, and Microsoft Office/EHR proficiency.
  • Clean criminal record and knowledge of intellectual and psychiatric disability management.
