Job summary

Well Known Private Hospital Group is seeking a Registered Nurse based in Johannesburg South to join our medical unit. You will register with SANC, ensure high-quality patient care, and participate in shift handovers while complying with all hospital policies.

The role requires BLS certification, matric, and advanced computer skills, with flexible hours and a focus on safe, cost-effective care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or Equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
• Matric qualification is required.
• Relevant experience in a Medical Unit.
• Compulsory BLS certification.
• Advanced computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Render and promote cost-effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies.
• Direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients; assess, plan, execute, and supervise care.
• Practice patient care according to Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities.
• Contribute to holistic care of patients and attend handover at shift start.
• Recognize life-threatening situations and respond appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and promote health and wellbeing.
• Provide detailed handover to the ward's sister and audit health records for compliance.
• Ensure stock is well controlled, charged, and credited appropriately.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or Equivalent NQF 7 qualification
