Your role is to coordinate patient care, administer treatments, monitor health progress, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional care to our residents. Coordinate and implement a wellness and support plan for each resident according to their needs and adjust as necessary (including dietary- and mobility needs). Report changes in residents' care requirements to the Quality Care Manager and document them in the resident's file. Conduct ongoing resident assessments, care support plans, and other core geriatric evaluations. Action and monitor nursing procedures within the scope of a Professional Nurse / Registered Nurse. Manage, order, monitor, and supervise safe medication administration as per organisational protocols and statutory requirements, ensuring strict control of Schedule 5, 6, and 7 drugs. Lead and support Carer teams, ensuring they deliver exceptional standards of care in line with organisational protocols and procedures and managing staff duty rosters. Maintain effective communication with residents, residents' families, and all stakeholders always with our values in mind. Participate in professional development and compulsory education. Monitor all medical / non-medical equipment and report any negligence, abuse, damage or theft. Maintain accurate residents' records and ensure proper administration, recording, and storage of ward stock medication, consumables, and all other disposables used. Control stock and order supplies timely.
You come with a matric, certified qualification as a Registered Nurse, entry-level computer literacy, and an in-date valid registration with the South African Nursing Council, proven work experience of 5 years in a similar role with great flexibility as well as proof of professional indemnity. You also bring excellent leadership qualities as an experienced Registered Nurse. You are fully bilingual and possess both written and verbal acumen. You are comfortable working day or night shifts and maintain confidentiality at all times.
