Qualifications

  • 5–8 years’ experience in an investment management environment, with at least 2–3 years at management level.
  • Proven background in stockbroking and portfolio management (preferred).
  • Registered Stockbroker with SAIS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement tactical strategy and delivery plans in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Budget & Performance: Draw up budgets, monitor effectiveness, and report on variances.
  • Coaching & People Management: Actively mentor and lead teams, fostering personal growth and performance excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Set tactical goals and optimize resources (people, finances, technology) to achieve results.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Analyse business information, identify trends, and provide insights for executive decision‑making.
  • Client Acquisition & Growth: Define and drive customer acquisition and tactical sales strategies.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance, compliance, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide subject‑matter expertise in stockbroking and portfolio management to clients and the business.
Candidate Profile
