Regional Sales Manager – Africa

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and results‑oriented Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute a growth strategy for the African region. You will position Radiometer’s solutions in high‑growth markets through value selling, relationship building, and channel management — driving both market share and revenue growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire and lead a high‑performing team, cultivate strategic customer relationships, and work closely with healthcare decision‑makers to deliver solutions that truly matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & Inspire: Coach, mentor, and develop a high‑performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and engagement.
  • Strategic Growth: Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive trends to shape winning go‑to‑market strategies, balancing vision with hands‑on execution.
  • Relationship Building: Engage with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and internal stakeholders to influence market adoption and strengthen partnerships.
  • Channel Excellence: Appoint, develop, and retain top‑performing distributors; ensure compliance, optimize inventory, and drive channel performance through strategic planning and execution.
  • Commercial Execution: Manage sales funnels, forecasting, and tender processes using CRM tools (Oracle, SFDC, Business Objects, SharePoint) to drive data‑informed decisions.
  • Customer Focus: Deeply understand customer needs and buying behavior, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring value‑based solutions are consistently delivered.
  • Deal Support & Negotiation: Act as the escalation point for complex negotiations, ensuring deal closures and long‑term customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Technology, Health Science, or equivalent.
  • MBA or Business Diploma preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in clinical sales, with proven success in point‑of‑care diagnostics and hospital / acute care environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing regional sales teams, driving performance, and building talent pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and enterprise systems such as Oracle, SFDC, Business Objects, and SharePoint.
  • Strong expertise in sales funnel management, KOL engagement, tender handling, and distributor management.
  • Preferred experience engaging with Global Funding Organizations.
