Introduction
To build, manage, and optimise the regional distribution network for passenger vehicle (particularly bakkie and shuttlebus / kombi).
The role ensures efficient sales through dealer channels, achievement of regional sales targets, and sustainable channel development aligned with brand strategy and market share goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive annual sales targets across assigned regions and industry sectors.
- Identify and onboard qualified dealers; evaluate existing dealer performance and adjust network layout to improve market coverage.
- Maintain orderly channel operations; resolve cross-regional conflicts and pricing disputes; enforce compliance with brand standards.
- Cascade regional targets to dealers; develop quarterly/monthly plans; monitor sales, collections, and correct deviations.
- Provide end-to-end support including product training, sales coaching, and after-sales coordination.
- Resolve operational issues such as inventory backlog and customer complaints.
- Collect and analyse market data (customer needs, policy changes, competitor strategies); recommend product or strategy adjustments.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, after‑sales) to align distribution and direct sales strategies and support regional campaigns.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- National certificate or higher.
- Minimum 5 years in passenger vehicle (particularly bakkie and shuttlebus / kombi) sales, after‑sales, or related sectors.
- Familiarity with truck product features, applications, and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to develop and manage dealer networks, including onboarding, performance evaluation, and strategic channel optimisation.
- Strong sales track record with expertise in negotiation, sales planning, and driving revenue through consultative selling and strategic initiatives.
- Skilled in analysing market trends, competitor dynamics, and regulatory frameworks to inform strategy and enhance product‑market fit.
- Proficient in interpreting sales, inventory, and payment data to assess channel health and coordinate internal resources for project execution.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead teams, collaborate cross‑functionally, and deliver responsive customer support.
