Key accountabilities
1. Sales Performance
- Monitor and analyze new vehicle sales performance across all dealerships in your zone, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Track dealership performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable feedback.
2. Dealer Support & Coaching
- Provide direct support to dealership sales teams to enhance performance, including sales training, process optimization, and best practice sharing.
- Conduct regular visits to dealerships to review sales performance, provide coaching, and ensure alignment with OEM objectives.
- Work with dealers to develop local sales strategies and promotions that align with broader Mahindra SA goals.
3. Sales Strategy Development
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine new vehicle sales strategies that align with market conditions and business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Participate in the planning and execution of national sales campaigns and promotions.
4. Performance Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, including detailed analysis of sales data, market conditions, and dealership performance.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address performance gaps.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
5. Incentive Programs & Promotions
- Develop and manage sales incentive programs to motivate dealership sales teams and drive performance.
- Coordinate with marketing to design and implement promotional campaigns that support new vehicle sales.
- Monitor the effectiveness of incentive programs and promotions, making adjustments as needed to maximize impact.
6. Market & Competitor Analysis
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor sales strategies, and market dynamics to anticipate challenges and opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations on pricing strategies, product positioning, and market entry tactics.
7. Customer Experience Enhancement
- Work with dealerships to ensure that the customer experience is consistent with OEM standards, contributing to higher customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify opportunities to improve the sales process, from initial customer contact to post-sale follow-up, to enhance customer experience and drive repeat business.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
Experience
- At least 5-8 years work experience within an automotive company.
- Sales management, or a similar role within the OEM or dealership environment.
Skills and attributes

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate sales teams.
- Proficiency in sales performance management tools and CRM systems.
