A leading non-life insurer in Cape Town is seeking a Regional Sales Executive to lead a team and drive sales of short-term insurance products. This role requires strong leadership and extensive experience in managing sales teams. The ideal candidate must hold relevant qualifications and have a proven track record in the financial sector. Our client is registered non-life insurer and specializes in providing short term insurance cover for individuals and small corporates.
The purpose of the role is to lead a regional team of experienced insurance professionals to execute on the short-term insurance strategy of our client and drive sales in line with the company's strategic objectives through efficiently and effectively delivering all short-term products to customers in their defined target market.
FAIS Regulatory examination RE1 (Key Individual exam) FAIS Accreditation (RE / FSB recognized qualification) FAIS Regulatory exam RE5 (Reps) Class of Business training will be to your advantage. 18 CPD (Continuous Professional Development) points NQF 7 Level : Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma relevant to industry Leadership or Management studies / qualification advantageous
Financial sector experience (Banking, Insurance, Investments) 5 -7 years' experience managing managers who manage teams (essential) 7 -10 years' experience in a Sales environment (essential) Business process experience : new business, underwriting, claims
Proficient in insurance industry Familiar with insurance products, processes, and service offerings Demonstrates strong business acumen, decision-making skills, and initiative
To design, implement, control the regional sale growth plan in line with the channel's objective and that of the business Set and implement operational strategy in collaboration with the Head of BDC / Tied agency sales Manage the team's activity and / or productivity Create and manage a lead funnel in conjunction with sales managers Develop and execute sustainable business plans Support continuous learning and knowledge distribution programs Drive consistent marketing activities to increase leads into the region Drive clear and effective communication
