Job summary

A global humanitarian organization is seeking a National Resources Management Officer in Pretoria, South Africa. The role involves overseeing financial management, supervising administrative functions, and ensuring compliance with IOM policies. Candidates should have a Master's degree and relevant experience in finance or administration. This position offers a one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree.
• Four years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Professional certification as CA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the administrative, financial, and supply chain functions.
• Monitor financial management in the Sub Region regarding accounting and budgeting.
• Ensure timely submission of financial and administrative reports.
• Identify urgent financial needs or risks of mismanagement.
• Train new staff in administration/finance areas.

Skills

Ability to work closely with government and international officials

Demonstrated ability to act independently and exercise sound judgment

Ability to work under pressure

Demonstrated ability to prepare clear and concise reports

Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)

Knowledge of Oracle

Education

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field

Bachelor’s degree in above fields
