Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce degree is essential.
• CIMA qualification or studies highly advantageous.
• At least three years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong full-function accounting and month-end reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with AI and automation in finance.
• Exposure to operational finance, stock controls, internal controls and finance business partnering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the month-end accounting function, including journals, reconciliations and financial reporting across operations.
• Monitor internal controls, financial compliance and stock management processes, investigating variances where necessary.
• Partner with operational teams to interpret financial results, identify risks and support informed business decisions.
• Analyse costs, processes and operational performance to uncover opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.
• Visit branches and operational sites to assess controls, understand business challenges and support implementation of improvements.
• Introduce and leverage AI and automation solutions to streamline finance processes, supported by ad hoc analysis and reporting for management.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with practical experience using AI and automation in finance processes being essential.
• Proven exposure to operational finance, stock controls, internal controls and finance business partnering, together with strong communication skills and a willingness to travel to branches and sites.
